Despite the name, the “arcade games” they have are far and few in between. They have foozeball but no pool table. The Galaga machine doesn’t even let you shoot. The racing game is pretty fun though. I love games, so I expected a bit more. I suppose Bar comes before Arcade. Speaking of which, the Bartender, Jim, was excellent. Despite my paradoxical request he enthusiastically made us a cocktail that was so so nice. Hats off to him. There was also live Jazz music that honestly deserved a lot more attention! Live music really does hit different. I hope to come back to see more of that (and order more drinks from Jim) but I think maybe Thursday’s aren’t the best days to hold live music events...
UPDATE: I have looked at the pictures kindly posted from other patrons of this place, and wow, does it look FUN. I have no idea what happened, but that whole area with all the games lined up was simply not there when we went (we went to the fire betty’s next to Finnegan’s wake). I hope to provide another update if that actual arcade area ever opens up because I’ll rush to get there.
