Oftentimes, walking into the Frenchtown Farmers Market means you will be greeted not just with smiles, but with the sizzling, smokey, and savory aroma of home cooked artisan pork sausages provided by none other than Brascomb's Meats. Brascomb's Meats is a husband and wife owned meatery that delivers a taste of their family legacy to yours. Darwin and Candace provide various flavors of sausages, including applewood smoked, oakwood smoked, spicy, and mild. All of which are locally sourced, USDA approved, and have stood the test of time, so no matter your preferences, you will always get the highest quality sausages, as they use recipes that have undergone family refinement since 1960.
But Brascomb's Meats have only been around in Tallahassee since February 2021, so what happened? Darwin's father sold these sausages during rough times, proving that regardless of hardship, the recipes he meticulously crafted could produce a successful venture. However, his son, Darwin, the now-owner of Brascomb's Meats, endured an arduous battle with cancer at a young age, to which his father was forced to relinquish the business to get Darwin the medical assistance he needed to win that battle. As you can see (and smell), that battle was won, and to pay his father back, Darwin decided to rekindle the fire that his father once made sausages with to start a family legacy that you can taste.
You can learn more about this wonderful legacy Darwin and Candace are building by heading over to https://brascombsmeats.com , One day, they may open up a local restaurant, but for now, you can savor their unique sausages over at Frenchtown Farmers Market every Saturday at 10:30 AM.
