The Review
The waffle fries here are excellent, but inconsistent, same as the staff (sometimes nice, sometimes curt). The fries are sometimes too crispy, too oily, too salty, and very rarely the perfect combination of all three, so what does Chick-Fil-A do? They give you good sauce to cover up for these inconsistencies. but damn is this place expensive and it's not really ever worth it. Onto the important stuff: the tater tots. I've reviewed each Tallahassee Fast Food Chain's Tater tots, as it's one of my favorite fast foods that I can eat as a vegan, here's how they stack up (spoiler: they're third place): Burger King: 5/5 Whataburger: 4/5 Chick-Fil-A: 3/5 Sonic: 2/5 Dunkin': 1/5
They get a 3/5 because just like their waffle fries, they're inconsistent. Sometimes they have a good ratio of crispiness to oiliness, but more often than not, they're just a bit too oily. What I do like is that the amount of salt is almost perfect, but there seems to be a lack of spice/pepper to balance it out.
Vote: Unfortunately, this eatery has yet to provide a menu-listed, non-side option that does not involve supporting the continuation of animal cruelty. Thus, there is no other rating I can earnestly give other than a 1. Shall this statement be incorrect, or this eatery begin to offer dedicated vegan options and alternatives, I will reconsider the review after attempting those products themselves.
2022: I no longer financially support chick-fil-a due to their executives involvement with anti-gay establishments. I suggest making a similar decision.
